for writers and readers….

Free International Writing Competition from an Aussie Author with a Sense of Humour

Glen Donaldson from Brisbane is a regular reader and I just have to let you know about the writing competition he is running on his website because:

  • 1) he asked me and I’m nice like that
  • 2) It’s free and the prizes are more than Honour & Glory, he’s offering actual money – the kind you can spend in Sainsbury’s, Dunnes Stores and Walmarts. True, it probably wouldn’t cover the family groceries, but it’s still money
  • 3) I’d love to read the results because you are required to write 400 to 500 words about anything at all and he’s been kind enough to give you the opening sentence.

The deadline is February 28th and you can find out everything you need to know on Glen’s website The Scenic Writer’s Shack. Go visit anyway because it’s always worth reading as long as you a) like smiling and b) you can tolerate cartoons that jump about.

So, what’s your second line going to be?

Do. And maybe you’ll work out what has made Dylan turn sock- coloured…?
