You think your pain and your heartbreak are unprecedented in the history of the world, but then you read. It was books that taught me that the things that tormented me most were the very things that connected me with all the people who were alive, who had ever been alive.

If you want to use any of this material contact me and there is a very good chance I will say YES.
However, if you just cut and paste into your own blog or whatever and pass it off as your own then there's a very good chance I will find out. Don't fall into the trap of thinking the internet is so vast and expanding so fast (note the fancy internal rhyme)] that no one will know.
Great quote from writer James Baldwin (1924 – 1987) who apparently was a good friend of singer Nina Simone. A famous story about Baldwin is that one of the many menial jobs he took on to support his writing was working in a meat-packing plant. Unfortunately he was fired because he fell asleep on the job. Makes you think that maybe he dozed off because he’d been up the previous night doing his writing into the deep-dark hours.
Love this story Glen, thank you for sharing it.
