Naturally my stories are about women — I’m a woman. I don’t know what the term is for men who write mostly about men.
I’m not always sure what is meant by ‘feminist.’ In the beginning I used to say, well, of course I’m a feminist. But if it means that I follow a kind of feminist theory, or know anything about it, then I’m not. I think I’m a feminist as far as thinking that the experience of women is important. That is really the basis of feminism.

If you want to use any of this material contact me and there is a very good chance I will say YES.
However, if you just cut and paste into your own blog or whatever and pass it off as your own then there's a very good chance I will find out. Don't fall into the trap of thinking the internet is so vast and expanding so fast (note the fancy internal rhyme)] that no one will know.
Alice Munro was the writer in residence in 1980 at Queensland University, which is just down the road from where I live.
For the film buffs, I note movie adaptations of her short stories included Martha, Ruth and Edie (1988), Edge of Madness (2002), Away from Her (2006), Hateship, Loveship (2013) and Julieta (2016).
Thanks for this Glen, I haven’t seen any of these. They do say a short story makes a better basis for a film adaption than a novel
