Two women make a highly detailed Snow Lady in West Berkshire. The photograph was published in The Strand Magazine in 1892. It was a fairly new British monthly with the first issue appearing just before Christmas 1890. In its 60 year life it published fiction by a wealth of famous writers including the very first Sherlock Holmes stories.
I found the picture on History Girl twitter account (@HistoryGirlBW) which is devoted to B&W images of life from the Victorian era and onwards.

If you want to use any of this material contact me and there is a very good chance I will say YES.
However, if you just cut and paste into your own blog or whatever and pass it off as your own then there's a very good chance I will find out. Don't fall into the trap of thinking the internet is so vast and expanding so fast (note the fancy internal rhyme)] that no one will know.
