Did you know that book covers can come to life?

Well, that’s probably not technically accurate. I think the correct phrase is:

featured interactive augmented reality experiences

All I know is that if you use the Blippar smartphone application on Dead Man’s Time the latest novel from bestselling crime author Peter James,  a dramatic  version of the cover will rev into action and the reader will be able to access an exclusive interview with the author. Plus they can get the low down on the Brighton criminal underworld that James writes about. What happens is that you wave your smart phone over the cover and read and use the stuff that pops into life and is invisible to the rest of the world.Did you know the next big thing in book covers?Apparently, you can use Blippar on the Sunday Times sports pages and Kit Kat advertising posters.

I feel as though I have just been told about a parallel universe…

Great technolical advance I am sure but they haven’t done the important thing first…I want to say the words ‘Beam me up, Scottie’ for real

Don’t hold back Bridget, say the words, but if you hear a strong scots accented voice saying “Ah canna Captain, the ship won’t take the energy drain” DROP the device and RUN 😀
