Instead of the usual Sunday quote from a famous writer I thought it wouldn’t hurt to be reminded of the activities that can sometimes get in the way of creativity. (Normal service will be resumed next week after I’ve swept the kitchen floor and prepared a roast ox.)

Love the quotes, especially the one about Sisyphus! I can generally turn a blind eye to housework, I’m afraid, but it can get in the way at times.
The ability to turn a blind eye is probably an essential quality in a writer. Men are so much better at carving out time without feeling guilt.
