A New Website celebrating the short story — SAFARI FRIDAY SEARCHING THE WEB FOR WRITERS AND READERS

Safari Friday

Short Stops is a new – very new – website dedicated to the short storyin the UK and Ireland. It officially opens on Sunday November 17th but it is already full of information vital to anyone who writes short stories or enjoys reading them. Check out the ever-growing list of literary magazines that publish short stories, live lit events where short stories are read and contemporary authors of short story collections, as well as short story links.
The website is run by Tania Hershman editor of The Short Review, the online journal that reviews short story collections, and a  judge of the 2014 Bridport Flash Fiction Prize.
Her stories have won various prizes and been broadcast on BBC radio. Tania also teaches regularly for the Arvon Foundation.
What is a short story? The long answer to a short question

Safari = Swahili for long journey. I am on the look out for anything accessible from a keyboard that educates, entertains, intrigues, raises a smile. Anything that helps a reader get through the day or a writer the next draft. Let me know if you write a website that you’d like featured or discover something that really should be shared.
