for writers and readers….

How to make a tired woman very happy…

Back to Creative Writing SchoolTwo very nice things happened at the end of a long day.
First a five star* review of BACK TO CREATIVE WRITING SCHOOL from a creative writing lecturer who wrote on
…This title is one of those that will remain on my Kindle indefinitely and will be repeatedly recommended to my writing students…If you have any aspirations to pursue creative writing, this is an ideal book to help you keep focused on your goals. A must buy.

Then a wonderful report on a popular New Zealand blog written by writer Hunter Emkay who I know also has a big following in the UK. Here’s one of the many things she had to say about BACK TO CREATIVE WRITING SCHOOL:
This book does not contain a big list of 100′s of prompts or exercises in short sentences or paragraphs. Each lesson can take several pages – the author, who tutors creative writing in the UK, provides a discussion of an element of writing, then an exercise-sometimes more than one- is provided.

Check out Hunter’s blog HERE – she’s very committed blogger and writes regularly. (She’s also a really perceptive book reviewer…!). She covers such subjects as:

  • News, Views, Links to a whole world of writing blogs and posts.

  • Tech and book reviews on writing topics

  • Personal journeys and discoveries in writing process.

  • Posts on the writing career, in particular how to set goals, motivate ourselves, manage our projects, and form great writing habits.

Off to bed now…smiling
