TECHNICAL GIZZMOS FOR WRITERS Safari Friday searching the web for writers and readers

blue eye

Haven’t done a Safari Friday post for awhile but I wanted to tell you about TECH FOR WRITERS a new feature on a New Zealand blog Hunting Down the Writing. It is an excellent blog for writers and the author has gone to a lot of trouble to produce something worth reading that is more than a naval-gazing reflection on her personal journey as a writer. There’s lots to discover, but since January she has a regular feature giving her views and recommendations of the technical stuff that can assist writers. It includes:

Corkulous (iPAD),
Evernote (multi-platforms),
Scrivaner (iOS and Windows),
iAnnotate PDF
Index Card (iPAD),
Power Structure (Windows).
and something called Liquid Story Binder which sounds Harry Potter-esque.
If I sound out of my depth it’s because I am. Hunter isn’t: she has a strong IT breakdown and is clearly very comfortable in this world and writes with confidence.

Safari = Swahili for long journey.I am on the look out for anything accessible from a keyboard that educates, entertains, intrigues, raises a smile. Anything that helps a reader get through the day or a writer the next draft. Let me know if you write a website that you’d like featured or discover something that really should be shared.
