    I heard this on the radio and thought it was a fantastic argument for communities to go on supporting libraries.

    I was listening to it just as I was about to post another ‘quote for writers’ and I thought no, I had to put this in. This actual sentence was part of a larger discussion about limiting prisoners access to books. I hope she publishes it because I would love to have her whole wide-ranging arguments on how books serve an essential human need.
