Prizes
First Prize: The winner will win a publishing contract with Accent Press to publish their novel next autumn. The winning author will be featured in Woman magazine and their book will be reviewed on publication.
The winner will also get the opportunity to nurture their talent on a week-long French writing holiday. Chez Castillon is an 18th Century French townhouse and writer’s and artist’s retreat in the heart of Castillon La Bataille on the beautiful river Dordogne. Owned by British actors Mike Wilson and Janie Millman, it is a charming haven of creativity and offers a calendar of writing, painting and drawing courses, led by well-known writers and painters. Your prize will be a week-long Plot to Publication writing course led by best-selling fiction writer Jane Wenham-Jones, Saturday 2nd May to Friday 8th May 2015 which would normally cost £895. In addition to tutor Jane Wenham-Jones, bestselling author Katie Fforde, is going to be in residence and available to give advice on plot.
The prize includes accommodation, tuition and all meals (including wine) except for one night when you are free to sample the restaurants in town.The prize does not include any travel, insurance or additional expenses.
Second Prize: Have your work critiqued by an Accent Press editor and £100 of Accent Press gift vouchers.
Runners-up: Five runners-up will receive a collection of five Accent Press how-to writing books including Wannabe A Writer by Jane Wenham-Jones.
Accent Press and Chez Castillon reserve the right to amend prizes subject to availability. No alternative prizes will be offered.

Notice of a competition open to unpublished authors with a terrific prize. Thanks Bridget for sharing. So if you have been thinking about writing that book or have one in process that has not been published then what do you have to lose….go for it.
