Given up on a novel or a memoir? Need a manuscript MOT? Join me on a Saturday workshop and get back on the road…
It started so well. Your word count was rising and your creative satnav was set to ‘go’. And then around chapter four, you lost your way and ground to a halt. If that sounds familiar then this all day workshop was designed for you.
Come away with:
Strategies and ideas to get you out of a rut
Exercises that will help you fall in love with your story and characters again.
Or learn how to let go and be inspired to start something new
Tips on how to become a better editor of your writing
A clear understanding of where you’re heading, with ‘The End’ firmly in sight…
Class sizes are small so I can make sure that the focus will be relevant to your work. After you sign up, I’ll send you a Q&A sheet about your manuscript so I have a good understanding of where you are and where you need to be…Are you a NaNoWriMo veteran, with manuscripts from previous Novembers gathering dust? Have you enrolled this year, determined to do more than merely hit the word count? Stuck or stalled, this workshop will get you back in the driving seat.
The course in on November 22nd in Brighton – very near the station – so it’s perfect if you’re travelling from London or from anywhere in the south east. It’s also very near North Laine one of the best places to shop in the world and as the workshop finishes at 4.30 pm you’ll have time to do just that. (Yep, I really do think North Laine is that good – it’s certainly one of the nicest places to window shop: vintage clothes, designer dresses, warehouses stuffed with antiques, original art, bling jewellery, mouth organs and African masks…I could go on.)
Back to the workshop and the all-important cost. The nice people at SKRIBITA have managed to do it for £48. For that you get five hours of me PLUS a buffet lunch and refreshments. I realise I’m biased, but I do think that’s good value. AND a good investment in your journey as a writer.
If you want to find out more about the course contact me using the form in the column on the left.
If you want to book contact SKRIBITA (and check out the crime workshop they are running this autumn).
