Full house for ‘Dancing with words’

It was a wonderful night at Brighton’s Amnesty Bookshop – a great launch for DANCING WITH WORDS. Ann Perrin has captured some of the fun in her popular blog. Thanks to her and to Valerie and Paul from Amnesty and author Dom Shaw

DSC05477The anthology by a group of writers attending a class in Portslade had it’s DSC05479launch last night. A full house and very much a party atmosphere at  the Amnesty Book Shop in Sydney Street that hosted the event.     DSC05498DSC05497     DSC05488-001

DSC05492An enthusiastic compere ensured the evening went with a swing and the proceeds on this book go to The Martlets Cancer Charity.

DSC05476The talented tutor in creative writing and editor of the book, Bridget DSC05508Whelan, was there to hear items read from it either by the authors themselves or on their behalf.   There was  touching and funny poetry and many original short stories.

It would seem that Portslade community college is a good place to study too!
