Write for us – new imprint of Harper Collins wants crime and thriller writers

Right now KillerReads – the new e-first imprint of HarperFiction at HarperCollins – have an open submissions window. They want full length book manuscripts that fit into their publishing niche: commercial crime and thrillers ranging from police procedurals, to psychological thrillers and high-concept thrillers.

“We want to give a voice to exciting emerging talent in the genre that may otherwise go unheard.”

That’s the good news. Bad news is that the window closes at 5pm on April 19th so you’ve got to get cracking to stand a chance.

Novels can’t have been self-published or ever been posted on publishing websites, forums or access platforms such as (but not limited to) Wattpad, Smashwords, Lulu, FanFiction, CompletelyNovel…

You will find details of how you can submit HERE. Follow it to the letter. In fact I suggest you ask a friend to go over your application before you press send just to make sure that you have submitted everything they ask for in the way they have asked for it – otherwise you could disqualify yourself before anyone has had the chance to read the opening paragraph.
