Write by the Beach – an inspiring writing conference in Brighton April 2017

Bigger, better with TWO DAYS OF EXPERT WORKSHOPS plus a GUARANTEED ONE-TO-ONE with one of 15 brilliant agents and publishers,  Write by the Beach is back.

angel-house-hoveOrganised by the Beach Hut Writing Academy – in the gorgeous Angel House, right by Brighton beach –  this conference gives you inspiration, ideas, publishing know-how and the chance to network with industry professionals. Oh, and delicious food! Whether you write novels, radio drama, short stories or TV scripts, there’s something for you.

“Professional and passionate. Makes me want to go home and finish that novel.”  C.B. Write by the Beach 2016

Full disclousure, I’m chair of Beach Hut Writing Academy (very much a titular position I can assure you. I think I was last one out of the room) and will be running a workshop on memoir and life writing. So, you may think I’m slightly biased. Not a bit of it! Last year was officially brilliant. We sold out about a month before conference day and after the event received the kind of feedback that would normally make me blush it was so positive. But we’re human: we don’t do perfect so we’ve made some changes for this year. We’re expanding to two full days. We’re also including:

– more hands-on workshops and seminars;

– a guaranteed one-to-one slot with an agent or publisher;

– sessions focusing on thrillers, scriptwriting, Young Adult, non-fiction, life-writing, pitching and the different ways you can get your work published;

– fewer delegates so a little more space to breathe in this lovely setting!

“Excellent organisation, value & refreshments.” P.T. Write by the Beach 2016

The full programme is now unveiled on our Eventbrite page where you can also buy tickets for one day or the whole weekend.
Tickets cost £140 for Saturday or Sunday or £245.50 for both days.
The price includes tea, coffee and delicious networking buffet lunch.

“Fantastic quality event. Intimate, access to great balance of content, and a perfect venue/location to host it.” H.R. Write by the Beach 2016

      Hmmm….should make it stand out more. (It’s midway) I’ll add another link down the bottom of the post Thanks for the head-up.

      Tickets cost £140 for Saturday or Sunday or £245.50 for both days. Tickets are available through Eventbrite where you can also see a detailed programme. Hope this helps. It is being held on the Brighton/Hove border in a beautiful Regency house write by the beach. About 10 minutes by bus from either Brighton or Hove train stations, less by taxi. Loads of buses pass nearby including the 700 which runs from Brighton to Portsmouth.
