This linocut by the English artist Cyril Power is full of music and rhythm. It was made in the early 1930s and shows just what you can do with repetition and a strong structure.  Visit this old post to see how Gary Provost does it with words.
I have a problem though. The image is called Folk Dance and that’s not the music I can hear.
For me, it’s rock ‘n’ roll. About 25 years before it was invented.
