Ghost Story  Writing Workshop
Saturday October 6
2pm – 5pm
Cost: £25
Places are limited – book HERE

The Regency Town House is a perfect location for tales of imagination. It is a Grade 1 house built in the 1820s in the heart of Hove (although back in the day residents of Brunswick Square probably called it West Brighton). It is now being developed as a museum and heritage centre.

As part of the workshop you will taken on a special tour of 13 Brunswick Square (which isn’t open to the public most of the year) and the basement of Number 10 which offers a real insight into how life used to be lived above and below stairs.

House interior 1We will then return to the recently renovated kitchen to explore the essential elements of ghost stories, using images and ideas to create our own. And there will be cake, made by the Regency Town House chef from a recipe 100s of years old.
Paul at Open Day August 2018

It is a workshop that will appeal to anyone who:

  • wants to inject suspense into their writing

  • would like to use images and words in story telling

  • is interested in historical writing

Suitable for those with writing experience and people who are exploring the subject for the very first time.
