for writers and readers….

Horror, Sci-Fi and Fantasy manuscripts wanted

snowbooksIf you are working on a genre novel this sounds like a very good opportunity.

SNOWBOOKS – a British independent publishing company set up in 2004 – welcome unsolicited manuscripts straight from authors. Although they do publish general fiction and non fiction, right now they are looking for horror, science fiction or science fantasy books. The minimum length is 70,000 words and yes, you should have written the entire manuscript, and revised it, because they want to see the whole thing straightaway – not just the first three chapters which is the usual procedure

You can find the submission rules HERE. Follow them to the last letter and full stop. They make it very clear that they delete sloppy manuscripts. I like the fact that if you get a contract they advise you to have it checked by someone else such as the Society of Authors – that’s very good advice.

Good luck!

Following on from the comments on this post I have written a new article called WHEN WRITERS SHOULD BE SUSPICIOUS

They sound like a unique sort of company. Up front and honest in their approach. I’m saving them for future reference. Thanks for sharing.

Why would any reputable publishing company want to cut out somebody who looks after an author’s interests? Very suspicious of this!

Have a word with my agent, if you want an opinion from that direction.

I just made a lengthy comment on it which seems to have disappeared into your spam bucket. Would you check, please? Thanks. 🙂
