for writers and readers….

HOW TO WRITE A BLOG EVERYONE WANTS TO READ Safari Friday (a day early!) searching the web for writers and readers

blue eye

If you’ve ever thought about writing your own blog and weren’t sure how to start I have the perfect website for you. Called How To Make My Blog it covers all the essential from first steps in design to how to write a blog post that will catch the attention of the casual visitor. There is also a wealth of information for experienced bloggers who want to reach a wider audience or need a new look but can’t work out how to achieve it.  How To Make My Blog is run by Marko Saric and it is itself a role model for how blogs ought to be because it is both visually exciting and easy to use.
Here’s some of Marko’s posts that I think you might like:
3 simple approaches to naming your site
How To Get Your First 500 Visitors
The Newbie’s Guide to Building an Instagram Community (about which I know nothing)
10 Lessons Learned from Attracting a Million Visitors
…and more, much more. I’ve book marked it myself because I know I will come back time after time, picking and choosing what suggestions to use because there are only so many hours in the day, but it seems an excellant resource for bloggers.
I found out about it because Marko wrote to me – do the same if you have a blog that you think would be of interest to writers and readers or you’ve come across something amazing on the web and want to share.

Safari = Swahili for long journey.I am on the look out for anything accessible from a keyboard that educates, entertains, intrigues, raises a smile. Anything that helps a reader get through the day or a writer the next draft. Let me know if you write a website that you’d like featured or discover something that really should be shared.
