    Good. It’s caused a bit of controversy over in my facebook page because of what coming out as gay means in some parts of the world – danger, discrimination and worse, much worse. That’s a valid point but I think Mark Haddon meant writing was an integral part of him – not a choice or a vocation – but the heart beat of his life. However, because it is not immediately apparent to others like the colour of his skin there is a choice about revealing it.
