I always wanted to be in the world of entertainment. I just love the idea of an audience being happy with what I am doing. Writing is showbusiness for shy people. That’s how I see it.

    In Australia, we have a somewhat less kind saying that offers a small twist on this idea –

    “Politics is showbusinness for ugly people.”

      Like it! I suppose you could say that writing is show businness for people who don’t want to show their faces – but that’s becoming less and less true as publishers expect authors to take on the full promotional role. And, of course, indy novelists have to do it for themselves…
